NGC 6193 und NGC 6188 - das Zentralgebiet der Sternentstehungsregion RCW 108
NGC 6193 and NGC 6188—the central region of the star-forming region RCW 108

Objektbeschreibung:

Object description

NGC 6193 and NGC 6188 - Our image shows the central region of the large star-forming region RCW 108, located on the border between the constellations Norma and Ara. The stars stimulating the hydrogen are the hot blue O- and B-type stars of the open cluster NGC 6193 (to the left and below the center of the image). The brightest region west of the cluster is classified as NGC 6188. At the upper right edge of the image is NGC 6164/65, a bipolar Wolf-Rayet nebula with a binary star system at its center. All of these objects are located about 4,000 light-years from the Solar System.
