Objektbeschreibung:

unser Bild zeigt in einer Widefield Ansicht die Galaxien Messier 65 (rechts), Messier 66 (links) und NGC 3628 (oben) im Sternbild Löwe. Sie wird auch als M 66 Gruppe oder Arp 317 katalogisiert. Alle 3 Galaxien sind etwa 35 Millionen Lichtjahre vom Sonnensystem entfernt. Zumindest Messier 66 und NGC 3628 zeigen eine gravitative Wechselwirkung miteinander.

Hier zeigen wir eine Aufnahme in hoher Bildauflösung von Messier 65 und Messier 66 und hier eine detaillierte Darstellung von NGC 3628 von uns.

Object description

Our image shows a wide-field view of the galaxies Messier 65 (right), Messier 66 (left), and NGC 3628 (top) in the constellation Leo. It is also known as the M 66 Group or Arp 317. All three galaxies are about 35 million light-years away from the solar system. At least Messier 66 and NGC 3628 show gravitational interaction with each other.
