GUM 36 and the open star cluster Stock 13 in the constellation Carina
Direkt östlich des großen, hellen Sternhaufens NGC 3532 befindet sich der kleine, aber sehr hübsche Emissionsnebel Gum 36 (GN 11.09.9.0). Die H-II Region, der benachbarte offene Sternhaufen Stock 13 und der blaue Reflexionsnebel (siehe auch beschriftetes Bild) sind etwa 10.000 Lichtjahre von der Erde entfernt und somit echte Nachbarn in All. Gum 36 hat einen wahren Durchmesser von ungefähr 25 Lichtjahre.
Die Sterne von Stock 13 sind mit etwa 25 Millionen Jahre sehr jung, die hellsten erreichen etwa die 10. Größenklasse. Mehr Informationen zu Sternhaufen des Stock Katalogs und Dr. Jürgen Stock geben wir hier.
Object description
Directly east of the large, bright star cluster NGC 3532 is the small but very pretty emission nebula Gum 36 (GN 11.09.9.0). The H-II region, the nearby open star cluster Stock 13 and the blue reflection nebula (see also annotated image) are about 10,000 light years away from Earth and thus real neighbors in space. Gum 36 has a true diameter of about 25 light years.

Stock 13 are very young at about 25 million years
old, the brightest reach about 10th magnitude. More information about star
