30 square degrees around the Carina Nebula NGC 3372
Die Umgebung von NGC 3372, dem großen Carinanebel - Das Bild zeigt ein Mosaik, bestehend aus 4 Segmenten, zentriert auf NGC 3372, aufgenommen mit dem Williams ReCat mit einer Brennweite von 250 mm und einer Gesamtbelichtungszeit von 6 Stunden. Die Region ist sicher seit der Erfindung der Fotografie das meist abgebildete Objekt der südlichen Milchstraße. Auch wir haben es in den letzten 10 Jahren - zwischen 2013 und 2023 - mit unterschiedlichen Brennweiten und unter verschiedenen Wetterbedingungen fotografiert. Auch die Einzelobjekte, die auf dieser Weitwinkelansicht zu sehen sind, haben wir auch mit längeren Brennweiten dokumentiert. Es sind von von Südost (links unten) nach Nordwest folgende Einzelobjekte: RCW 57 (NGC 3603 + NGC 3579), Collinder 240, NGC 3532, Eta Carina, Nova Carina, Hagen 99, NGC 3324, NGC 3293, IC 2581, NGC 3247 und NGC 3199.
Object description
The surroundings of NGC 3372, the Great Carina Nebula - Our image shows a mosaic consisting of 4 segments centered on NGC 3372. Taken with the Williams ReCat with a focal length of 250 mm and a total exposure time of 6 hours. The region is certainly the most imaged object of the southern sky since the invention of photography.

over the last 10 years - between 2013 and 2023 - with different focal lengths
and under different weather conditions. We have also documented the individual
objects seen on this wide-angle view with longer focal lengths. They are, from
southeast (lower left) to northwest, the following individual objects:

NGC 3532,
Eta Carina,
Nova Carina,
Hagen 99,
NGC 3324,
NGC 3293,
IC 2581,
NGC 3247 and
