NGC 3324 - Star formation in the constellation Carina
NGC 3324 Unser Bild zeigt ein Mosaik aus 3 Segmenten der nordöstlichen Region des Carinanebels. Die Bildorientierung ist Norden oben und Osten links. Oben im Bild steht der offene Sternhaufen NGC 3293 mit der ihn umgebenen H-II Region RCW51 (GUM 30).
Südlich von NGC 3293 steht das Sternentstehungsgebiet NGC 3324 mit dem kleinen Reflexionsnebel IC 2599. Weiter in Richtung Süden steht der helle, große offene Sternhaufen Van der Berg Hagen 99.
Am unteren Bildrand steht der helle Stern HD 92063 und direkt darunter die Nova Carina 2018. Östlich davon zeigt sich der hellste Teil des großen Carina Nebels NGC 3372 mit den hellen offenen Sternhaufen Trumpler 14 und Collinder 232.

description NGC 3324 Our image shows a mosaic of 3 segments of the northeastern region of the Carina Nebula. The image orientation is north up and east left. At the top of the image is the open star cluster NGC 3293 with the H-II region RCW51 (GUM 30) surrounding it. South of NGC 3293 is the star forming region NGC 3324 with the small reflection nebula IC 2599. Further south is the bright, large open star cluster Van der Berg Hagen 99 At the lower edge of the image is the bright star HD 92063 and directly below it the nova Carina 2018.
