Nova Lupi - V 462 Lupi
Nova Lupi - V 462 Lupi - V462 Lupi, auch bekannt als Nova Lupi 2025, ist eine helle Nova im Sternbild Lupus, die am 12. Juni 2025 von der All Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae entdeckt wurde. Zum Zeitpunkt ihrer Entdeckung hatte sie eine scheinbare Helligkeit von 8,7. Am 14. Juni 2025 wurde sie als klassische Nova klassifiziert. Alle Novae sind Doppelsterne, bei denen Materie von einem "Spenderstern" auf einen Weißen Zwerg akkretiert.
Object description
Nova Lupi - V 462 Lupi - V462 Lupi, also known as Nova Lupi 2025, is a bright nova in the constellation Lupus that was discovered on June 12, 2025, by the All Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae. At the time of its discovery, it had an apparent magnitude of 8.7. On June 14, 2025, it was classified as a classical nova. All novae are binary stars, with matter from a "donor" star accreting onto a white dwarf.
