NGC 6087 - Open star cluster in the constellation Norma
NGC 6087 ist ein schöner offener Sternhaufen im Sternbild Winkelmaß (Norma). Er beinhaltet etwa 50 Sterne, wird nach Trumpler der Klasse I 2 p zugeordnet und ist ungefähr 3.000 Lichtjahre vom Sonnensystem entfernt. NGC 6087 wurde am 8. Mai 1826 von James Dunlop entdeckt.
Object description
NGC 6087 is a pretty open star cluster in the constellation Norma. It contains about 50 stars, is assigned to class I 2 p according to Trumpler and is about 3,000 light-years away from the solar system. NGC 5822 was discovered by James Dunlop on May 8, 1826.
