The animation on the left shows the visibility of the ghost crater Lambert R every 24 hours. While it is clearly visible at a Moon age of 9.8 days, it is nearly invisible at a moon age of 10.8 days. The shallowest remainings of the former crater walls only reach heights of about 40 meters above the surrounding terrain.
