The moon age
about 5 days is ideal for imaging the region around the Gardner plateau, Cauchy
and Rima Cauchy. The Gardner Plateau is presumably a very big intrusive
vulcanic feature, lying east of the landing site of Apollo 17. The region
around Chauchy and Rima Cauchy is strewn with dozens of lunar volcanic
domes.
Just as well it is possible at the moon age of 5 days to image
all features around the Mare Nectaris. High resolution images of Torrichelli
show a lot of secondary craterlets of Theophilus. |

130% skaling
of some images. The second and the third image show the moon limb around the
crater Byrgius and some features of Mare Orientale (taken with the 6" Zeiss APQ
using a barlow lens). |
